Profsis was established as a Belgian company in mid-2007 when one of the founders, Nils Herloff-Petersen, left Hewlett-Packard to set up an independent company to provide consultancy, services and training in project management.  Since then, the other founder, Elmarie Herloff-Petersen, née Venter, has also brought association management into the portfolio of activities.  The company is constantly evaluating opportunities to diversify and leverage core capabilities with the aim of expanding the business.
